About Us

Grief TREE provides

Grief and loss counseling for individuals & families

At GriefTREE, we care for patients who are grieving losses after the passing of a loved one or following a life transition or traumatic event. Grief is the normal response of sorrow, challenging emotions, and confusion that comes from losing someone or something important to you. When grief is traumatic or becomes complicated or persistent, therapeutic intervention can support you in your healing process and help you better cope with your loss.

Grief and loss counseling can help in the following situations:

Lisa Zucker, MSW, LCSW, CT

Lisa Zucker graduated from Florida State University with a BS in Psychology and a minor in Religion and completed her MSW at the University of Vermont. After working for nearly ten years in nonprofits and medical settings, Lisa opened her private practice in 2011. Her real-life experiences with grief and loss, coupled with her years of working with chronically and terminally ill patients and their families, make her a compassionate and skilled therapist. In 2018, Lisa was awarded Social Worker of the Year by the Broward Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers. Following the tragedy at MSD High School in Parkland, Lisa became trained in EMDR and was a founding board member for Professionals United for Parkland. The loss of both her beloved Dad and Brother in 2019 and 2021 led Lisa to recognize the need to grow GriefTREE by bringing skilled, passionate therapists on board to support grieving people on a larger scale. Lisa works closely alongside her team of therapists to ensure that anyone reaching out to GriefTREE receives the best care possible
